Gruppo Vocale Incanto (Vocal Group Incanto), was established in January 2007. Over the years the choir has contributed to the appreciation of choral singing in a wide range of artistic and historic expressions.
Gruppo Vocale Incanto presents a wide repertoire ranging from Gregorian chant to modern polyphony. During concerts, the choir performs in different configurations: female voices, male voices, mixed voices, full or smaller ensemble.
Reinterpretations and improvisations based on medieval repertoire employing unusual vocal techniques are among the choir’s strongest attributes.
Directed by Emilio Piffaretti, a Professor at the Milan Conservatory, Gruppo Vocale Incanto performed a substantial concert series in prestigious venues across Italy receiving national acclaim from both the public and critics.
The choir has also premiered works specially composed for them group by contemporary composers. Gruppo Vocale Incanto took part to various musical festivals, among other:

In recent years the choir carried out projects in partnership with instrumental ensembles such as:
“Maria, mother of Jesus. The mistero the Incarnation” (musical meditation for mixed choir, string quartet and reciting voices (december 2012)
Mass No. 2 in G major D 167 by Franz Schubert, in partnership with the choir and the orchestra of Santa Cristina Val Gardena (september 2014)
“Stabat Mater” (musical meditation for mixed choir, string quartet and reciting voices (april 2019)
In 2017 it participated in the 3rd European Choir Games Riga 2017 & Grand Prix of Nations Riga 2017 (The Open Competition), in Riga, Latvia, and achieved the silver diploma in the categories: Chamber Choirs - Vocal Ensembles e Sacred music a cappella.
In 2023, it participated in the 12th International Johannes Brahms Choir Festival and Competition in Wernigerode, Germany, where it earned a gold diploma in the Mixed Choirs category (Level II) and a silver diploma in the Sacred Music a cappella category, qualifying for the Grand Prix.
The Incanto Vocal Group has attended master classes with prestigious choir directors from Italy and abroad, including Marco Berrini, Andris Veismanis (Latvia), and Beverly Shangkuan-Cheng (Philippines).
The vocal preparation of the “Incanto Vocal Group” is supervised by its director.
